Job Title: Transportation Accounts Payable and Office Administrative
Reports To: Transportation Manager
Freight bill approval and liaison for reconciling freight bills; supporting Outbound Shipments through communication to our warehouses and procuring full truck loads, and providing outstanding customer service to our store operators and all those whom we provide a service to internally and externally.
Freight bill approvals
Rating and entering information into our database for freight invoices
Working with carriers to reconcile any discrepancies
Assisting in creating notes for communication on what will be shipped from what building
Working with our brokers to procure trucks
Emailing information (shipment notifications) to our operators and store managers
Data entry addresses into bills of lading software; Payment information into Traffic/Accounting software; Information into Excel spreadsheets, other data entry as necessary
Phone communication-receiving and returning phone calls
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook
Outstanding customer service and professional phone etiquette
Copier and fax machine
Attention to detail and follow up a must
Knowledge about freight logistics helpful
